4. BIOS Setup

4.5.5 SDRAM ECC Setting

This item allows you to select among three methods of memory error checking: Auto,

Enabled and Disabled.

4.5.6 SDRAM CAS Latency

The choices are 2 and 3 (default). This feature appears only when SDRAM DIMMs are

installed (BIOS auto detection). If the CAS latency of your SDRAM DIMM is 2, choose 2 to

enhance the system performance. If the CAS latency of your SDRAM DIMM is 3, stey with

the default setting.

4.6.1 IDE Read/Write Prefetch

The onboard IDE drive interface supports IDE prefetching for faster drive accesses. If you

install a primary and/or secondary add-in IDE interface, set this field to Disabled if the

interface does not support prefetching. The choices are: Enabled and Disabled.

4.6.2 IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave PIO

The four IDE PIO (Programmed Input / Output) fields let you set a PIO mode (0-4) for each

of the four IDE devices that the onboard IDE interface supports.
